Hello & welcome thanks for stopping by I’m Heather and I’m so glad you’re here.

My passion for baking and spreading the cheer began a few years ago with a humble Guinness cake I made for our Macmillan Coffee Morning at work. The enthusiasm from my colleagues was overwhelming they absolutely raved about it! That moment gave me the confidence to believe I could bake anything if I put my heart into it from there, my cake journey simply took off.

Since then, I’ve baked countless variations of Guinness cake (honestly, I’ve lost track!) each one with its own twist. While I wouldn’t call myself a professional just yet, I’m always learning, practicing, and improving the results get better every time.

The faith my fantastic customers place in me is what drives me to keep going and strive for perfection. After all, practice makes perfect every cake is a step closer.

A Dash of Inspiration & a Whole Lot of Heart

While I often find inspiration from photos on social media, every cake I create carries my own personal twist something unique and delicious just for my customers. With each bake, my goal is to make it better and more professional than the last, without ever compromising on taste. I love using fresh, local produce whenever possible and sometimes even ingredients from our own kitchen garden when they’re in season.

Being in the kitchen, baking and crafting a one-of-a-kind cake for each customer that’s my happy place. Its where everyday stresses melt away and creativity takes centre stage.

And speaking of joy…

Many years ago, I became the proud owner of Looly, a 1966 Morris Minor 1000cc. She’s brought smiles to so many over the years, giving rides to folks from all over the world. Affectionately known as Moggs, she was my everyday ride to work for years and recently took pride of place at two family weddings 😊

We’ve shared countless fun memories together and while she’s earned the right to take life a little easier these days, Looly remains a beloved part of my journey and a big inspiration behind this website.

All cakes come with a strawberry preserve* & white vanilla buttercream** filling & frosted with vanilla buttercream as standard, can also be frosted with chocolate ganache (White, Milk, Dark) at extra cost.

Edible Cake Toppers & Decorations

Toppers for Cupcakes/Cakes

I have stock of toppers in various designs some examples or you can supply your own custom toppers. Custom made toppers are made from fondant & hand painted with food safe dusts/paint etc these can be made in any shape colour etc please ask for further info.

Edible rice paper or icing custom designed cake toppers/decorations now available to order. Having recently invested in an edible ink printer I can now offer this service.

Lead Times For Ordering

A minimum of 2 weeks notice is needed for regular cakes, any cakes with special requirements need 4 weeks notice and for wedding cakes etc 3-6 months notice is required to guarantee an order. Orders will only be accepted & booked in to my calendar once order acknowledgemnt has been signed & returned.

Payment

50% payment is required up front on acceptance of order & balance 50% to be paid prior to collection/delivery.

Payments can be made by bank transfer or paypal (I do not accept card payments at this time).

Dietary Requirements

Any special dietary requirements can be catered for using the necessary/correct ingredients however, my kitchen is not classed as a Dairy Free/Gluten Free/Vegan/Nut Free place therefore items would be purchased at your own discretion, as I cannot be held liable.

Care for your Cake

Fondant covered cakes are best stored in a cool, dark place until it’s time to serve then bring to room temperature at least ½ hour before.

Buttercream/Chocolate Ganache cakes are best kept in the fridge until ½ hour before serving then bring to room temperature, if you haven’t room in your fridge then keep somewhere dark & cool until needed.

All cakes are baked fresh so any leftovers can be frozen for up to 1 month, double wrapped in clingfilm.

If frozen then defrost overnight in the fridge and bring to room temperature ½ hour before serving

Transporting your Cake

Always hold the box by the corners so as not to press the sides to the cake. Ideally carry on a non-slip tray.

Place in the foot well of your vehicle preferably on a non-slip mat or tray, making sure that box cannot move around & nothing can fall on to the box. Keep heat in the vehicle to an absolute minimum, in hot weather blast the A/C.

Cutting your Cake

Remove all decorations from the top & any plastic centre dowels if they have been used, before cutting the cake, use a clean sharp knife and wipe between each cut. Tiered cakes will have a cake board under each tier it’s advisable to lift off each tier then slice. Round cakes can be cut in to wedge shaped slices or cut in a grid format for squares

The handmade decorations were amazing all made with Belgian chocolate and flavoured cream fillings. The cake sponge was made with rich chocolate with cream filling. This cake went down very well. I have ordered 3 cakes over the last few months. 2 for 70th birthdays and a 50th wedding anniversary. Each cake ordered were made with 3 layers of vanilla sponge and strawberry layers with frosted cream. This covered a large family gathering with plenty left. The cake sponge is amazing, so light and fluffy. Each cake had different decorative handmade designs made with Belgian chocolate. With a plainer version made to dietary specifications. Will most definitely order again.
